Mark Goodson, a powerful and popular producer of the game shows world, asked her if she would leave Wheel of Fortune (1975) to be a model on The Price Is Right (1972) to replace Anitra Ford who was leaving the show 1976. She thought about it and asked what billing she would receive. When Goodson told her no billing, but she would make up for it with money, she decided to stay with "Wheel of Fortune".
Was a good friend of Rod Roddy and after Rod died in 2003, presided at his memorial service in Texas.
